TRANSPARENT PRICING

Every gram. Every facet. Every line.

We publish the formula. We publish the gold rate. We publish the diamond grade. The price on every Zorii piece is built from three numbers — and only three. This page explains all of them.

WHY WE SHOW THIS
The first time I tried to buy my mother a piece of jewellery, the salesman quoted a number and refused to break it down. I left without buying. The second time, at a different shop, the same thing. Transparent pricing isn't brave — it is the natural way to sell something that lasts a lifetime.

THE FORMULA

Three numbers. No fourth.

Every price on every Zorii piece is built from these three components — and only these three. No retail markup. No store maintenance fee. No vague designer charge.

Component One

The Gold

weight × today's rate

Net gold weight in your piece, multiplied by today's published rate. We update the rate every working day at 10:00 AM IST. No "making percentage" hidden in the metal price.

+
Component Two

The Diamond

carat × cut × clarity × colour

Each stone is independently graded by IGI. The price is the actual stone cost, not a per-carat retail markup. Bigger stones cost more per carat — we show you why.

+
Component Three

The Making

setting + finishing + craft

The hands that set the stone, polished the gold, hallmarked the piece. A fixed charge per piece type — not a percentage of stone or metal value. Complex settings cost more; we publish the rates.

If your prices are this transparent, how do you make money?

We charge a fixed making charge per piece — typically 20% to 30% of the metal cost depending on complexity.
This is our margin, fully disclosed on every product page. Most retailers operate at 80–200% markup, often hidden inside an inflated stone cost We don't.

Why do other brands/jewellers charge a making of Rs. 1000/gram?

There are 2 things to note when you see a making charge of Rs.1000/gram.

  • What is the stone price being charged for an equivalent quality ?
  • What is the design that you are looking at and the effort that would have gone in developing it?
How do I know the gold rate you publish is accurate?

We publish our rate at 10:00 AM IST every working day, Our gold rates are transparent and available for anyone to view. Just drop us a "hi" on WhatAapp by clicking the WhatApp icon below and we will share the link to our WhatsApp community where we publish the Gold Rates on a daily basis

Why are lab-grown diamonds priced differently from natural?

Because they cost differently to produce. Lab-grown diamonds at our quality grades (Type IIa, IGI-certified, Excellent cut) cost roughly 40-60% less to source than mined equivalents. We pass the full saving on. The diamond on the page is the diamond in the ring — the same carat, same colour, same clarity grade as a natural stone, at a fraction of the price.

Can I see the actual IGI certificate before I buy?

Yes. Click 'View Sample Certificate' on any product page to see what an IGI cert looks like. For your specific stone, we send the actual document by email upon request — laser inscription number, full grading report, and a photograph. The same number is etched on your stone, visible under a loupe.

Are you cheaper than competitors?

For comparable specifications — same stone size and grade, same metal weight and purity, same setting complexity — we are typically 25-40% below the retail equivalent. Not because we are running a sale, but because the retail price includes the significant retail margins and we don't have one that is as big. Bring us any quote from any retailer — we will show you, line by line, where the difference sits.

If your prices are low, is the quality lower too?

The opposite, often. We use Type IIa lab-grown diamonds — the purest 1% of all diamonds, lab or natural, the same classification as the Koh-i-Noor. Our gold is recycled and BIS hallmarked. Settings are crafted in-house at our Camac Street atelier, not outsourced. The price reflects honest costs without retail layers, not corners cut on the piece itself. For solitaires we use CVD diamonds of VVS2 clarity.
