Sixty minutes. No deposit. No script.
An unhurried conversation about the piece you're imagining. No catalogues handed across the table. No “today only” pricing. Just sample stones, considered questions, and tea.
Sixty minutes, four chapters.
We follow the same gentle structure for every consultation. You'll know exactly what's happening at each point.
Tea, and your story
We start with introductions, tea, and the simple question — who are you marrying, and what does the moment of the ring matter to them? No designs yet. Just listening.
Stones in hand
We bring out loose stones in your shape and weight range. You hold them. You see them in our north-light window. There is no expectation that you will choose anything in the room.
Settings & possibilities
We try sample settings on your hand. We sketch a piece quickly if you'd like to see a custom direction. We are candid about what is, and isn't, possible at your budget.
Time to think
We leave you with notes, photographs of any pieces we discussed, and the freedom to walk away with no expectation. If you'd like a render or quotation prepared, we explain how that happens next — only if you ask.
Six edits, signed by our atelier
From the first ring to the everyday hoop — our editors pre-style what to pair, when to wear, and why each piece deserves a place.

The questions we hear most often.
If your question isn't here, write to us — we answer within the same business day.
Write to us →Is the consultation really free?
Yes. There is no charge for a consultation, whether you visit Camac Street or join us over video. No deposit, no booking fee, no commitment. We meet many people who walk away with nothing — and we want it that way. A consultation is a conversation, not a sales pitch.
What happens after the consultation?
Only what you ask for. If you'd like a quote prepared, we share it within 48 hours. If you'd like sketches for a bespoke direction, we begin those within a week. If you'd like time and silence, you have it — we do not follow up with reminder calls, promotional offers, or “just checking in” messages. Ever.
Can I bring my partner / mother / sister?
Absolutely. Most of our most considered consultations happen as a pair or trio. We have a private room and we'll arrange tea for everyone. Just let us know in the booking note how many people will attend.
Should I prepare anything in advance?
No preparation is required. If you have reference photos — Pinterest boards, screenshots of pieces you like, your mother's ring — bring them. If your partner has worn rings before and you know the size, share it. But these are optional. You can arrive with nothing and we'll still have a useful conversation.
How does the virtual consultation work?
A few days before the appointment, we ship a sample kit — a selection of settings, a sizing tool, and a small stone replica set — to your address, on us. On the call, we use a high-resolution camera that shows our stones clearly. You can see and request specific pieces from our inventory. The conversation runs the same as in-person; only the physical kit differs.
What if I can't decide in 60 minutes?
That is the expected outcome, not a failure. Almost no one decides at the consultation. We follow up only with the materials you asked for, and only when you asked. Many of our clients book a second consultation two or three weeks later — often by then they have new questions, and we welcome the chance to answer them.
Can the consultation lead to a bespoke piece?
Yes. About 40% of our consultations become bespoke commissions — though we never push that direction. If you'd like to explore a custom piece, we begin the sketching process described on our Bespoke Atelier page.
Write to us first. No commitment.
Send a sentence about what you're thinking — the moment, the muse, the question on your mind. We reply with thoughts, not with a sales pitch, within the same business day.
